We are SO proud to carry Portrait Coffee. Roasted right here in our hometown of Atlanta, GA. Portrait seeks to "reintroduce black coffee" and change the picture that comes to mind when you think of the coffee industry!

The Blends:

Founders Blend

Curated by the Portrait team, the Founder's Blend aims to highlight all the best parts of a cup of coffee - a smooth, sweet, and juicy mix to start off your day.

Ethiopian Guji

A coffee that truly accentuates the very best that a bean can offer. If you have ever found yourself asking how people can drink coffee without cream or sugar, this is what we call a "converter". This coffee is light & floral with notes of blueberry, lemon, and honey.

Uganda Rwenzori

This coffee, originating from the Rwenzori Mountain Range (famously known as the Mountains of the Moon) of Uganda features notes of grapefruit & tart jam. This coffee has a strong body paired with a warm & light acidity.

BARRY

A well-balanced, sweet, and fruity coffee, with notes of berries & molasses.

TONI

An unapologetically chocolate coffee with nutty tones, with notes of dark chocolate and walnuts.

CONGO

This coffee, originating from North Lake Kivu features notes of tropical fruit (think pineapple!) and a light juicy body. This coffee is fair trade and organic certified.

STACEY

A rich, smokey coffee with notes of hazelnut and caramel. A coffee for fans of medium-dark roasts. Inspired by political activist, Stacey Abrams.

BLACK FUTURES

This coffee has juicy notes of strawberry that cool into crisp, brown sugar sweetness. Almost mimics a classic rooibos tea.

FOUNDERS

Curated by the team at Portrait Coffee, the Founders aims to highlight all the best parts of a cup of coffee - a smooth, sweet, and juicy mix to start off your day. Current tasting notes are cocoa, nutty, & grapes. Right now, our Founders is a blend of beans from Colombia and Guatemala.

The Portrait Coffee Story

Portrait Coffee’s goal is to empower and equip Atlanta natives and residents with genuine career and life opportunities in the world of coffee. Their name comes from a desire to change the picture that comes to mind when folks think of specialty coffee.

Coffee, as a product, was first discovered by Africans. In discovering coffee, they had no clue this drink would become the most consumed beverage, other than water, globally. On the flip side, they also had no clue that their faces would be forgotten even though the pigment of the drink mirrored their own. It was stories like this that got the Portrait Founders into coffee.

What was once merely a drink of necessity turned into an ode to their ancestors. After learning the history and seeing the current realities, every cup of coffee made and consumed felt like an invitation to drink purpose, meaning and fulfillment.
